Protection of Information
TASER International values the trust its customers place in the company. Accordingly, TASER International adheres to the highest ethical standards in gathering, using and safeguarding customer information that is entrusted to the company. This policy covers how TASER International treats personal information that TASER International collects and receives from you for TASER device activation and processing of background checks. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that TASER International does not own or control, or to people that TASER International does not employ or manage.
Use and Collection of Customer Information
TASER International limits access to customer information to those employees who need it to carry out their business functions. TASER International educates its employees about TASER International policies and practices in regard to safeguarding customer information; preventing its unauthorized access, use or disclosure; and, ensuring its proper handling.
Personally Identifiable Information
TASER International collects personally identifiable information (such as name, address, telephone number, birth date, and/or e-mail address) from customers only when they voluntarily provide such information to TASER International. TASER International customers who do not want their personally identifiable information collected online are asked not to submit such information to TASER International.
TASER International has no intention of collecting personally identifiable information from children. To that end, we have made it our policy to not collect any individually identifiable information from users whom we know are under the age of 13 in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).
